The lounge bar is a comfortable place to unwind, maybe have a pre dinner drink with your traveling companions, or share an after dinner drink with new friends met over dinner. The 1 meter thick walls keep even the coldest Andean night out, letting you relax infront of our open fire with a drink from our fully stocked bar.
The bar is often run on the 'Honour System'. You can help yourself if there are no staff around, but we do ask you to put down your drink order on a bill for inclusion when you check out. The lounge bar is often the meeting point for local guides as well as the guests of the hotel. This can sometimes prove to be a lively night, but we always ensure the music is not loud enough to hear in our guest rooms. |
Lounge Bar

The lounge bar is Hostal Mama Hilda's newest edition, and yet the oldest. The lounge bar has replaced the original building on the site, which dates back well over 100 years. It was in this building that some of Mama Hilda's children were actually born. Rather than demolishing the building to make way for a comfortable lounge bar for our guests, the family decided as one that they were going to choose the more expensive route of renovating the existing building.
